The Hansen's lives changed forever on October 16, 2016. Their beautiful, sweet daughter, Allie, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). They realized very quickly that there are many difficult times and challenges as you fight cancer with your child. They were humbled by the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, hospital staff, organizations and complete strangers. All of those people and organizations were dubbed Allie's Angels. As treatment continued, Allie and the Hansen family desired to establish a foundation that could be an angel to families affected by childhood cancer.
In September 2017 the Allie's Angels Foundation was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State of Arizona. The foundation's focus is creating awareness about childhood cancer and supporting children diagnosed with cancer and their families. The foundation provides financial assistance to families with children fighting cancer and provides uplifting experiences for the children.
Children fighting cancer have to do many things that are painful, difficult, cause sickness and are generally not pleasant. It can really take a toll on a child. The Allie's Angels Foundation provides uplifting experiences for these children as a way to lift their spirits and give them something positive to look forward to.
